What You Get

Customer Data That Powers Better Automation

  • The moment a sale clears, ActiveCampaign receives the customer record, purchase data, and configured tags automatically. No CSV exports, no copy and pasting.

  • Use product, funnel, and purchase data to build more relevant segments and deliver more relevant messaging.

  • Trigger ActiveCampaign automations based on purchases, subscriptions, refunds, and other customer actions.

  • Connect purchase history to customer profiles and gain a clearer view of customer behavior, retention, and revenue.

Before You Start

A Short List of Prep Work

Have these ready before you open the IPN settings. The whole connection will take only about 10 minutes.

  • A Digistore24 account. Don't have one? Sign up free.
  • An ActiveCampaign account with a verified email.
  • Your ActiveCampaign API URL and API Key (from Account Settings → Developer).
  • Any tags or custom fields you plan to use already created in ActiveCampaign.
  • Your Digistore24 products ready to map to ActiveCampaign actions.
How It Works

From Purchase to Automated Customer Journeys in Seconds

The integration runs through Digistore24's IPN webhook system. Once a payment clears, Digistore24 sends the transaction to ActiveCampaign, allowing you to trigger highly personalized email and SMS sequences.
  1. Step 1

    Order Placed

A buyer completes checkout through Digistore24 funnel. Digistore24 captures payment and clears the order.

  2. Step 2

    IPN Fires

Digistore24 securely sends customer and purchase data to ActiveCampaign.

  3. Step 3

    Automations Begin

ActiveCampaign creates or updates the contact record, applies tags, and enrolls them in your post-purchase marketing automation.

Setup Guide

Connect ActiveCampaign in Six Steps

Most integrations only take about 10 minutes to set up once you have your account credentials ready.

  • 1
Open the IPN Settings In your Digistore24 vendor view, head to Settings → Integrations (IPN) and click Add new connection.
  • 2
Pick ActiveCampaign From the List Choose ActiveCampaign from the preconfigured systems. Digistore24 already knows the field map, so you just need to plug in your credentials.
  • 3
Drop in Your ActiveCampaign Credentials Paste your API URL and API Key from ActiveCampaign's Account Settings → Developer. Treat the key like a password.
  • 4
Map Your Products to Lists Select your target List and choose the Action (e.g., Add to list) for when a buyer completes a purchase.
  • 5
Configure Tags (Optional) In the Use tags field, select whether to transfer product IDs or custom tags to segment your contacts in ActiveCampaign.
  • 6
Activate, Notify, Save Mark the connection Active, drop in an email address for error alerts, and hit Save. Click Test connection. A green check means you're live.
A Pro Tip

Test With One Product First

Set the scope filter (step 5) to a single low-volume product on day one. Place a test order, confirm it lands in ActiveCampaign with the right tags, and watch your automation fire. Then expand the scope to the rest of your catalog.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Create separate ActiveCampaign connections and configure different tags, actions, or automations for specific products.

Digistore24 sends the configured refund event to ActiveCampaign automatically. Any additional automation logic—such as removing tags or updating pipelines—should be configured within ActiveCampaign.

In most cases, failed connections are caused by an incorrect API URL, API key, or account configuration. Verify your credentials and try again. Error alerts will be sent to the notification email configured during setup.
